Many professional and trade jobs require you to have a license in order to work In Canada. Professionals and trade people educated outside of Canada are required to have a review of their education, credentials and work experience completed in order to receive a license to work in Canada. As well, many professions and trades require those not educated in Canada to successfully complete one or more exams and work under supervision with a Canadian employer in that profession or trade.

These instructional videos developed by the Association of Internationally Educated and Trained Professionals of Nova Scotia provide information on the steps to becoming licensed in Nova Scotia.
